The Sapporo Snow Festival is held in Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido from 6th to 12th of February 2012.
Every year, both Japanese and foreign visitors expect to see the hundreds of beautiful snow statues and ice sculptures on Odori Park,
and walk along the site for 1,5km where turned into a crystal magical world graced by ice and snow.

Summer Festival in Tohoku encourage 3.11 victims

Aoyama Nebuta festival is held from 02 to 07 of August every year, where the big float of a brave warrior-figure is carried through the city.
Dancers wearing a unique costume called HANETO chant “Rassera”, jumping around the warrior-figure.

This year, about 200 victims of 3.11 disaster from Miyagi prefecture and 60 evacuees in Aomori were invited to Nebuta.
They joined Haneto and enjoyed the enthusiasm of festival, wishing for the reconstruction of Japan.
